Current Events(Snow falls on Mars)

Nasa currently have a mission of going to mars, but only sent a little rover. The little rover detected snow, but the snow melted and evaporated before landing on the ground! It collected some samples of soil and detected that the soil was wet as if it had just rained.Bringing Nasa to the question of "Is mars suitable for life?"Also, They found calcium carbonate, a substance used to create clay. This identifies that there was water on Mars in the past.In conclusion, this this type of clay only forms in the presence of water and that mars might be favorable for life.Mars is starting to be a lot like earth.

Class Response(Food Chain)

A food chain is a series of animals or other living things that are eatable. An example of a food chain is,a plankton being eaten by mussel, the mussel being eaten by small fish, the small fish being eaten by a bigger fish, and finally the big fish was eaten by a human. A food chain would usually end at the animal that is at the top of the food chain.Sometimes, the animal that starts the food chain can get the nutrients from the the last animal in the food chain(when it's dead).

Every animal lives off of another animal. Such sea creatures. They rely on plants under water (coral) or any other sea creatures. Same thing for land creatures. Although, some sea creature can eat land creatures.

Many animals are on different levels of eating. There are the omnivore, which eat both meat and vegetables. The carnivore, which eat meat only, and lastly the herbivores who eat only vegetables(which would be a vegetarian if it was a human).

Class Response (ecology)

The topic in science is ecology.Ecology is the study of living organisms (animals, plants). One living thing like animals, live in groups. One group is biosphere, which is the whole animals on planet earth.Secondly, ecosystem is when all organisms and all non-living organisms are available in a given area.Community is when a group of animals live together.Like in a pond, frogs, fish, and snails live there.Population is a huge amount or small amount of organisms that live in an area. Finally, an organism is a living thing.

Many people are starting to be careless about the fish and go out to catch them.Plus the people have been polluting the water, and many fish lost their habitats.Due to this, the population of fish has dropped.Last decade, over eighty five million tons of fish were lost.

My opinion is that ecology is a very important subject in science because it tells you about the living things that live outside of your home. Also, ecology can help learn about living things better.
